What is a holiday pay run deadline?

If you pay employees by direct deposit, and have a payday that falls on, or shortly after a federal banking holiday, you'll need to run payroll one or two business days early to get everyone paid on time. This is because ACH processing does not occur federal bank holidays, adding an additional business day to the payroll turnaround.

OnPay notifies you ahead of each holiday throughout the year, but you can get a head start and see when you should plan to run payroll a little early, so employees aren't affected by bank holidays.
