Remember bank holidays when running payroll
We wanted to remind you that Monday, November 11, 2024, is a federal banking holiday. This means you may need to run payroll one or two business days early to avoid paying employees late, especially if their payday is on the holiday.
Check dates scheduled for Monday, November 11, should be adjusted to Friday, November 8, and submitted by Wednesday, November 6, to avoid paying employees late*.
If your payday falls on Tuesday, November 12, you won't need to change the check date to avoid paying employees late, but you will need to submit payroll one business day earlier.
*Based on a 2-day turnaround. For 4-day turnaround, submit by November 4 (see schedules below).

Holiday payroll schedules
Click your turnaround time below to view schedules. Look in the "Payday Falls On" column, for any dates you plan to pay employees. If this is on or after the holiday, refer to the "Submit Deadline" will be one earlier than normal. for these pay dates are listed in the column to the right. Note that if a scheduled payday falls on the holiday, you must adjust the Check Date to the preceding business day.

4-Day Turnaround
If your payday falls on Monday, 11/11, we recommend that you change the Check Date to Friday, 11/8, and submit payroll by Monday, 11/4, to avoid paying employees late. For all other paydays, refer to the "Submit Deadline" and "Employer Draft Date" columns to ensure payroll is submitted on-time, and funds are available.

At the "Approve Payroll" step of the pay run, the direct deposit effective date may differ from the examples outlined above.
