Managing company worksites

  • Updated

Worksites are used to associate employees with the physical address where they perform work. These assignments are used to determine employee tax profiles, so tax obligations are accurately identified and calculated based on where the employee works.

View company worksites

Go to Company.

Under "My Company", click to expand the Company Worksites tile.

You'll see a list of your worksites, and their addresses.

Add a new worksite

Click the blue (+) button at the bottom of the worksites list.

Give your worksite a name and add it's address, then click Add Worksite. You can assign employees to this new worksite in their profiles.

Always select a verified address from the menu when adding a worksite. This ensures local withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.

Archive/delete a worksite

Only worksites with no assigned workers can be archived. Click the three dots on the right of the worksite you want to remove, then click Archive.

IMPORTANT
Before a worksite can be archived, all assigned workers must be reassigned to another worksite by following the instructions below.

View/change workers assigned to a worksite

To see workers assigned to a worksite, click the three dots on the right, and click View Assigned.

From the list of assigned workers, you can view a workers profile by clicking their name. From there, you can assign any worker to a different worksite. Workers can only be assigned to one worksite.

What if an employee works from home?

If an employee works from home, you'll need to add their home address as a worksite, and assign them to it in their profile, to ensure they're taxed appropriately.
