Before you can process your first payroll with OnPay, we'll need to verify your bank account.
During the enrollment process, you will have the option to do this instantly with Plaid or to continue the enrollment and verify the bank account manually at a later time.
We'll cover both options here:
Instantly verify your bank account using Plaid
When you are enrolling your company to OnPay, the final step is to "Verify Bank Account". To instantly verify your account with our partner Plaid, click Continue.
Select your banking institution. You can search, or scroll to browse from a list of major banks.
Enter your online banking credentials to initiate instant verification of the account you're linking to OnPay.
You will see two small debits and an offsetting in credit in your bank account, but no action is required. These just verify that the account can be debited when you're ready to run payroll.

Manually verify your bank account in OnPay
To manually verify your bank account, click the "X" to close the Plaid verification window.
You'll be able to progress to complete the company enrollment, but remember that you'll now need to manually verify the bank account in OnPay.
Within 1-2 business days after enrolling in OnPay, you should see a credit and two small offsetting debits to the bank account you enrolled with. Once you see these, you can proceed to the next step of verifying your bank account in OnPay.
When you've seen the credit/debits in your account
Go to My Company.
Scroll down to find "Company Bank Account".
Under "Verification Required", enter the values of the two debits you see in your bank account, and click Verify Amounts.
Once the matching amounts are confirmed, your bank account verification is complete and you're ready to run payroll!
