Inviting entered workers

When signing up for OnPay, we always offer to enter worker information to make it easier to get started. Workers that have been entered (or migrated from a previous provider) will not be able to access their employee profiles until they've been invited by you. Once invited, they can access their profile at onpay.com, or in the OnPay mobile app. There, they can add personal information, including bank details for direct deposit.

Workers that have been entered or migrated from a previous provider by OnPay will not be able to access their employee profiles until they've been invited by you.

 

View employee profile

You'll need to invite each employee separately, after checking or entering their email address. 

Click an employee's icon (photo or initials) in your dashboard, or select their name in the Workers tab. 

 

Click to edit contact information

Click to edit the employee's contact information tile in their profile.

 

Enter/confirm email address and invite

Enter the employee's personal email address, then click Invite Employee.

Always use the employee's personal email address, even if you provide a company email.
Inviting employees using their personal email address ensures their lifetime access to their pay information and tax forms, even if they lose access to their company email account.

 

Revoking an employee invitation

If an invitation has been sent to the wrong email address, click Revoke Invitation, and repeat the process using the correct email address.

 

Employee next steps

Check email

Your employee will receive an email similar to the one pictured below. They can click the link to set up their OnPay password, and complete their profile setup.
