Pay schedules that aren't in use can be archived and removed from your dashboard. To be archived, a pay schedule must have no assigned workers, and no pending pay runs.
How to archive a pay schedule
From your dashboard, hover over "Next Scheduled Pay Run", and click Expand.
Click the menu for the pay schedule you want to archive.
Click Archive.
Pay schedules with active workers cannot be archived. If you need to archive a pay schedule assigned to active workers, you must first update their pay schedule or their employment status.
What to do with assigned workers
To update a worker's pay schedule, or employment status, go to their profile in the Workers menu, or by clicking View Assigned.
Click the employee's name to view their profile.
Click Employment Options to view their assigned pay schedule.
Updating the worker's pay schedule
Click Pay Schedule to assign a pay schedule for this worker.
If this change will affect this employee's workweek, pay period, or payday, be sure to consult your accountant to make sure all FLSA and state rules are followed.
Return to the pay schedule in your dashboard, and click Archive.
Click Archive. Archived pay schedules cannot be retrieved.
Update employment status
If this employee isn't currently working for you, you can select "Inactive". Their profile can still be found in the employee list under "Inactive Employees", and they'll still have access to their tax and wage information in their employee portal. Inactive employees can be reactivated here, too, but if their assigned pay schedule has been archived, a new schedule will need to be assigned.
Return to the pay schedule in your dashboard, and click Archive.
Click Archive. Archived pay schedules cannot be retrieved.
