Where to find your employer's EIN
When a company registers to do business in the US, they're assigned an Employer Identification Number (EIN) by the IRS. This number can be found in box B of your W-2.
In OnPay, you'll find your W-2 in your employee portal, under Earnings. You can also see your W-2 in the OnPay mobile app.
Can't log into your employee portal?
If you're having difficulty logging into your OnPay employee portal, follow these troubleshooting steps in the FAQ section below↓
Click on the previous year to see wages tax information.
Click Download W-2.
You can print this PDF, but you don't have to.
Your employer's EIN can be found just below your Social Security Number. In the next section, we’ll enter this number into TurboTax.

Wages & Income
In TurboTax, you'll begin in the "My Info" step, before continuing to "Wages & Income" by clicking Add my income.
We'll start with your W-2
Select "Work on my W-2", and click Continue.
Enter your company's Employer Identification Number (EIN), found on your W-2, as shown in the previous section of this guide. It's very important that you enter this number correctly. Once you've verified that this number is entered correctly, click Continue.
Enter the email and password you use to log into OnPay, and click Continue. If you need to, you can click "Change how I enter my form", to enter your information manually. If you don't know your OnPay password, or have forgotten it, you can reset it here.
Review your W-2 information to make sure everything looks correct, including the Employer Identification Number, and your personal information.
If everything's correct, click Looks good to proceed to the next step. You can also click "Make changes" to update or correct anything, if needed.
From here, you can follow the prompts in TurboTax to continue filing your taxes knowing that your W-2 information has been entered correctly.
Troubleshooting and FAQ
What if I don't know my OnPay email or password?
To import your W-2 into TurboTax, you'll need both your email address associated with your OnPay account, and your OnPay password. If you know the email address associated with your OnPay account, but you don't know your password, you can reset it here.
What if I never created an OnPay password?
If your employer has already invited you to access your OnPay employee portal, you would have received an invitation from OnPay Customer Support. This email includes a link to help you create your OnPay password, and access your employee portal.
Do I need to sign up for a free trial to OnPay?
No. You already have an OnPay employee profile, do not create a new account or start a free trial. You'll need to log into your OnPay employee portal using your email and password, or by single sign-on. If you've never signed into OnPay before, you may need to follow the link in your original invitation email.
Why do I need to be invited?
Your OnPay employee portal gives you online access to your protected personal information, including your home address, email and phone number, paycheck history, and tax documents. To ensure access to this information is protected, only an administrator of your employer's OnPay account can add or invite you.
My invitation was sent a while ago, but never created my account. Can I still use the original invitation email?
Yes! It's not too late to pull up that old email and follow the link to access your employee portal. You may need to search for the sender "Customer Support" with the subject line, "Welcome Aboard!" Check spam and junk folders, if needed.
Can't find your invitation?
If you have multiple email addresses, make sure you're searching the inbox of an email address you've provided to your employer. This invitation is sent to your personal email address entered into your employee profile. This email address is used to log into OnPay, along with a password you create.
If you've never logged into OnPay before, you may need to ask your employer for access to your employee portal.
How do I request access to my OnPay employee portal?
If you never received an invitation email from OnPay, or are unable to find it, you may need to request access through your employer. Ask your manager to help you access your OnPay employee portal by sending your invitation again. We cover this further in this article.
What if I can't find my OnPay invitation email, or my employer hasn't invited me?
If your employer hasn't invited you to log into OnPay, or you don't have access to the invitation email, they may need to send or resend the invitation. If your employer needs help sending you an invitation, instructions can be found in this article.
Can I view my W-2 on my smartphone?
Yes! You can log into OnPay using your smartphone's web browser, or by downloading the OnPay Mobile App for iOS or Android. From there, you can view your W-2 information by following the same steps as described above using your desktop browser.
What do I do if I receive an error in TurboTax?
