Custom report designer

  • Updated

The Payroll Listing and Earnings Summary reports each feature our custom report designer. This allows you to add, remove, or rearrange the columns in your report. You can even save these configurations by name.

Adding, removing, and rearranging columns

If you already have a custom configuration for this report, you'll see the name of the selected configuration with an "edit" pencil in the upper right. Click to edit or add a new configuration.

You'll see blank columns representing categories of payroll data you can include in this report. Click and drag a column left or right to rearrange, or remove it altogether by dropping it into "Available Columns" on the right.

Add new columns by dragging them from the "Available Columns" to any position in the report. Drag any column back to that list to remove it.

Below, the "Wages" smart column is itemized into seven separate columns. Note that the "Wages" label appears in the grey bar spanning the headers for these columns.

Changing the columns of a report won't automatically save the configuration, so you're free to explore your data without the risk of undoing any saved configuration. You can name a new configuration to apply to future reports.

Saving and naming configurations

Add a name to this configuration in the upper left. You can make as many of these custom reports as you need.
