For OnPay to effectively calculate state tax contributions, you'll need to ensure the tax rates entered in Onpay are correct for each state where your company has a tax obligations. For example, if you operate in both Mississippi and Alabama, you must keep payroll tax information up-to-date for each (and every) state where you pay employees.

Refer to the most recent Employer's Contribution Tax Rate notice you received from the Mississippi Department of Employment Security.
- Your MDES Account Number can be found in the upper left
- Your Mississippi SUI Rate is listed listed after "UI Contribution Rate"
- Your Mississippi "Workforce Investment and Training Contribution Rate" is listed in the next box
Where to enter your rate in OnPay
Go to Company, then Payroll Taxes.
Do you pay employees in multiple states?
If so, select MIssissippi under "Payroll Taxes".
Use the Update buttons to enter your Mississippi UI Contribution Rate and your and Workforce Investment and Training Tax Rate separately.
When setting your rate, use the pop-up calendar to select the effective date, as indicated in your notice. Then, the rate as a percent and click Save when you're done.
