For OnPay to effectively calculate state tax contributions, you'll need to ensure the tax rates entered in Onpay are correct for each state where your company has a tax obligations. For example, if you operate in both Michigan and Wisconsin, you must keep payroll tax information up-to-date for each (and every) state where you pay employees.

Where to find your SUI tax information
Refer to the most recent Tax Rate Determination you received from the MIchigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity.
- Your Employer Account Number can be found in the upper right of the first page
- Your Michigan UI Rate is listed at the bottom of the first page, in the box marked "Your Total Rate"
Where to enter your rate in OnPay
Go to Company, then Payroll Taxes.
Do you pay employees in multiple states?
If so, select Michigan under "Payroll Taxes".
Use the Update button for Michigan SUI Rate, and enter the percentage in the box after "Your Total Rate" on the notice you received from the state.
In the pop-up calendar above "Choose Effective Date" indicated in the upper right of your notice (below account number), then enter your rate as a percent in the next field.
Click Save when you're done.
