For OnPay to effectively calculate state tax contributions, you'll need to ensure the tax rates entered in Onpay are correct for each state where your company has a tax obligations. For example, if you operate in both Illinois and Indiana, you must keep payroll tax information up-to-date for each (and every) state where you pay employees.

Where to find your SUI tax information
Refer to the most recent Employer Tax Rate Notice you received from the Illinois Department of Employment Services.
- Your IDES Account ID can be found in the upper right
- Your Illinois UI contribution rate can be found on the first page, near the top-right
Where to enter your rate in OnPay
Go to Company, then Payroll Taxes.
Do you pay employees in multiple states?
If so, select Illinois under "Payroll Taxes".
Use the Update button to enter your Illinois SUI rate.
In the pop-up calendar above "Choose Effective Date" indicated in the upper right of your notice (below account number), then enter your rate as a percent in the next field.
Click Save when you're done.
