Enter Idaho SUI rates in OnPay

For OnPay to effectively calculate state tax contributions, you'll need to ensure the tax rates entered in OnPay are correct for each state where your company has a tax obligations. For example, if you operate in both Idaho and Montana, you must complete and return a power of attorney for both states.

What you'll need

  • Idaho SUI Account Number
  • Idaho SUI Contribution Rate
  • Idaho Workforce Development Fund Rate
  • Idaho Administrative Reserve Rate

Where to find your SUI tax information

Refer to the most recent Employer Tax Rate Notice you received from the Idaho Department of Labor.

  • Your SUI (Employer) Account Number can be found in the upper right
  • Your Effective Start date is the first day of the quarter indicated on your notice
  • Your SUI rate can be found in the first line under "Tax Rate Components"
  • Your Administrative Reserve Fund Rate can be found in the second line 
  • Your Workforce Development Rate can be found in the third line
  • Enter these three rates separately in OnPay

Where to enter your rate in OnPay

In the Payroll tab, click Set up, then Payroll Taxes.

Note: If you pay employees in multiple states, you'll find each state listed under "Payroll Taxes". Select a state to enter your state tax information.

Use the Update buttons to enter your Idaho SUI Contribution, Administrative Reserve, and Workforce Development rates separately.

 

In the pop-up calendar above "Choose Effective Date" indicated in the upper right of your notice (below acc2024-02-07_15-34-06 copy (5).jpgount number), then enter your rate as a percent in the next field. 

 

Click Save when you're done.
