For OnPay to effectively calculate state tax contributions, you'll need to ensure the tax rates entered in Onpay are correct for each state where your company has a tax obligations. For example, if you operate in both Connecticut and New York, you must keep payroll tax information up-to-date for each and every state where you pay employees.

Where to find your tax information
Refer to the most recent tax rate notice you received from the Connecticut Department of Labor.
- Your Connecticut Registration Number can be found in the upper right
- Your UI Tax Rate can be found in the middle right
- Your effective date can be found on the line below your rate
Where to enter your rate in OnPay
Go to Company, then Payroll Taxes.
Do you pay employees in multiple states?
If so, select Connecticut under "Payroll Taxes".
Use the Update button to enter your Connecticut UI tax rate.
In the pop-up calendar above "Choose Effective Date", select the first date that this rate applies, then enter your rate as a percent in the next field.
Click Save when you're done.
