Why is this important?
OnPay works with government entities on your behalf, reporting new hires to state labor departments, calculating tax rates, paying taxes and insurance contributions, and filing financial reports. To do this effectively, you will need to authorize us to act on your behalf with tax offices for each state where your company has a tax obligation.
For example, if you operate in both Dakotas, you must complete and return a power of attorney for both states.

For OnPay to file and pay your North Dakota unemployment taxes, we must have the items listed below. Please email the following items to hello@onpay.com:
- State Unemployment Insurance Account Number
- Access Code - Forget your access code? Click Here
Power of Attorney (POA) for Job Service North Dakota
- Download and print the ND JobS POA found at the bottom of this page
- Complete the following information:
- Taxpayer name and address
- Taxpayer FEIN
- Signature of Taxpayer
- This form must be notarized before being returned to OnPay
- Email a copy of your notarized Power of Attorney form hello@onpay.com
Office of State Tax Commissioner
Third-Party Access (TPA) for the North Dakota Office of State Tax commissioner
For OnPay to file and pay your North Dakota withholding taxes, we must have the items listed below. Please email the following items to hello@onpay.com:
- FEIN or SSN as registered with the State Tax Commissioner
- State Withholding Tax ID (Example: 123456789-01)
- State Withholding Letter ID (If you do not have a letter reference ID or wish to request a new letter for adding access, please let us know, as there is a box we can check to request a new letter be sent to you)
- Entity Type (i.e. LLC, Inc, Sole Proprietor)
Power of Attorney (POA) for the North Dakota Office of State Tax Commissioner
- Download the ND OSTC POA found at the bottom of this page
- Complete the top section regarding your business information
- The Taxpayer will need to sign at the bottom of the form
- Email your completed Power of Attorney form hello@onpay.com
