Important
To effectively communicate with tax offices on your behalf, you must grant us Third Party Administrator access and/or Power of Attorney. Each tax office has its own authorization process, and may require different actions for you to take.

Third-Party Agent (TPA) access for the Michigan Department of Treasury

To file and pay your Michigan withholding taxes, it's essential that we have third-party access to your tax account. Submit a request to initiate TPA access, and include the following information:

  • Your business name and FEIN as registered with the State of Michigan
  • Filing Frequency (Monthly, Quarterly, or Annually)
  • Ownership Type (as determined when you registered)
  • Registered Taxes for Business (Withholding, sales/use tax, etc.)
    • Individual Owner
    • Husband/Wife Proprietorship
    • Partnership
    • Limited Partnership
    • Trust or Estate
    • Investment Club
    • Fraternal Organization
    • Other
    • LLC - Sole Proprietor (Form 1040)
    • LLC - Partnership (Form 1065)
    • LLC - C Corporation (Form 1120)
    • LLC - S Corporation (Form 1120-S)
    • LLC - Wholly owned by another entity
    • Michigan C Corporation 
    • Michigan Corporation - Subchapter S
    • Foreign C Corporation
    • Foreign C Corporation - Subchapter S

 

Power of Attorney (POA) for the Michigan Department of Treasury

  2. Complete the following information:
    • Part 1: Taxpayer Information
    • Part 6: Taxpayer Signature
  3. Provide OnPay with a copy of your completed form

Third-Party Access (TPA) for the Michigan Department of Unemployment Insurance

To file and pay your Michigan unemployment taxes, it's essential that you grant us third-party access to your MiUI tax account. 

  1. Log into your MiUI account
  2. On the Employer Homepage, look for "Associated TPA(s)", and select TPA Authorization
  3. Under "Third Party Administrator (TPA) Authorization", select New at the bottom right, leaving all other fields blank
  4. Under "Assign Third Party Administrator (TPA)", enter the TPA ID: 50003704, and click Next
  5. For "Third Party Administrator (TPA) Information", under "TPA Services Begin
    Date", enter 01/01, and the current year, leaving the end date blank
  6. In the "Unassigned Roles" section, select the checkbox for the following roles, and click Save:
    • View Employment and Wage Detail
    • Submit Employment and Wage Detail
    • View Rate Notice and Voluntary Contribution
    • Edit Rate Notice and Voluntary Contribution
    • View Tax Payments
    • Edit Tax Payments and Update and Submit
