Why is this important?

OnPay works with government entities on your behalf, reporting new hires to state labor departments, calculating tax rates, paying taxes and insurance contributions, and filing financial reports. To do this effectively, you will need to authorize us to act on your behalf with tax offices for each state where your company has a tax obligation.

For example, if you operate in both Illinois and Indiana, you must complete and return a power of attorney for both states.

 

Illinois Department of Revenue

Third-Party Access (TPA) for the Illinois Department of Revenue

  1. Log In to your MyTax Illinois Account. You will have to register if you do not have an account with MyTax Illinois.
  2. Select "Manage My Profile"
  3. Select "More..."
  4. Select "Manage Third Party Access"
  5. Set Third Party Access as follows:
    1. Allowed: Yes
    2. Default Access: Third Party
    3. Default Account Access: File & Pay
  6. Once the above has been completed, please email the following two items to hello@OnPay.com: 
    1. 9-digit Account Zip Code
    2. Last payment amount

Power of Attorney (POA) for the Illinois Department of Revenue

  • Download and print the IL DOR POA found at the bottom of this page
  • Complete all fields regarding your business information
  • The taxpayer will need to sign at the bottom of the form (notarized)
  • Email us the completed Power of Attorney forms to hello@onpay.com.

 

Illinois Department of Employment Security

Third-Party Access (TPA) for the Illinois Department of Employment Security

  1. Log In to your MyTax Illinois Account. If you do not have an account with MyTax Illinois, you will need to register for one.
  2. Click View all account options hyperlink under "Unemployment Insurance".
  3. Click Add Agent under "Power of Attorney (POA)"
  4. Select Search by agent name
  5. In the field beside "Enter Agent Name", type "OnPay" and click Next
  6. Check the box marked "Select", and click Next
  7. Ensure that the following options are selected:
    1. Full access to view and manage
    2. UI Employer Contribution Report
  8. Click Next
  9. Check the box to "Agree", and click Submit

  • Download the IDES POA found at the bottom of this page
  • Complete all fields regarding your business information at the top of the first page
  • The taxpayer will need to sign at the bottom of the first page
  • Email your completed Power of Attorney forms to hello@onpay.com.
