Third-Party Administrator access for the Comptroller of Maryland

Log in or create an account at Maryland Tax Connect.

Go to Profile Information at the top, and select Manage Authorized Users.

On the Manage Authorized Users page, select Add New Authorized User.

Enter OnPay's User ID and Registration Confirmation Number, and click Next.
- User ID: OnPayTax
- Registration Confirmation Number: TU00000327522
- In User Details, under the Taxpayer Authorizations section, perform the following actions:
- Select the checkbox for your Taxpayer Name
- Enter the Start Date as the first day of the first quarter you started with OnPay
- Leave the End Date blank
- Under Assignments, click Apply a Template, and select Payroll Access
- Confirm the below taxpayer functions are selected, and click OK, then Save
- Make Payments
- File a Return
- View Withholding Tax Correspondence

On the New User Confirmation page, verify the information is correct, then click Confirm. You'll return to the "Manage Authorized Users" page with a message at the top stating, "The Authorized User Authorizations have been successfully added." For additional guidance, refer to the agency's Adding an Authorized User Guide.

Reporting Agent Authorization for the Comptroller of Maryland
- Download the Maryland Comptroller Reporting Agent Authorization form
- Complete Part I regarding your business information
- Add the signature of the taxpayer
- Submit a request and attach a copy of your form

Power of Attorney for the Maryland Department of Labor
- Download the Maryland DOL Power of Attorney form
- Complete Part 1 regarding your business information
- Add the Effective Date of Authorization and leave the End Date blank in Part 4
- Add Signature of Taxpayer
- Upload a copy of your completed POA form to your Beacon account, or provide it to us along with your Comptroller RAA

Access you may need to grant upon request
You may be asked to grant this access in order for OnPay to work with tax offices on your behalf.
Third-party access for the Maryland Department of Labor
- Log into your BEACON account
- Under "Your Options," click Account Maintenance
- Select Agent Assignment
- Select Add Agent.
- Search for our agent ID: MD8P2M and click Search
- Click Select POA to upload your completed POA form
- Assign the following roles:
- Wage Submission
- Payment Submission
- Set the Access Begin Date for the date that you joined OnPay
- Click Save
