Maine TPA and Power of Attorney required

 Required for OnPay to pay on your behalf 

Third-Party Agent for the Maine Department of Labor

In order for us to access to your Maine UI Tax self-service portal, we'll need the following information:

  • Your business name as registered with the State of Maine
  • Unemployment Tax ID 
  • Your unemployment tax username and password for REEMPLOYME
  • Your FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number)
    • Your FEIN is used to identify your business with the federal government and can be found on any notice sent to you by the IRS
    • If you used your SSN to register instead of your FEIN, please include it 

Submit a request and provide the above information.

Third-Party Agent for Maine Paid Family & Medical Leave

OnPay will initiate a TPA request through the Maine PFML employer portal at maine.gov.

To approve our TPA access request:

  1. Log into their Maine PFML online portal
  2. Go to the Action Center
  3. If our request has been initiated, you'll see, "Respond to a Third-Party Access Request", with a button to, "Click here to respond to a third-party access request"
  4. Look for a request from OnPay Tax Disbursement LLC, and click Yes
    1. Select Grant Account Access
    2. Access Level: File Wage Reports and Make Payments
    3. Click Save
  5. You'll see a message confirming we've been granted access

 

 Required for OnPay to file on your behalf 

Power of Attorney for the Maine Department of Labor

  1. Download the Maine DOL Power of Attorney form
  2. Add your information:
    • Complete the top section with your business information
    • Item 6: Provide the company mailing address where you will receive unemployment benefit mailings
    • Item 7: Provide the company mailing address where you will receive unemployment tax mailings
    • An Owner, Officer, or Member will need to sign in the bottom section of the form
  3. Submit a request and attach a copy of your form

Third-Party Access for the Maine Department of Revenue

Submit a request and provide the following information:

  • Your business name as registered with the State of Maine
  • Your FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number)
    • Your FEIN is used to identify your business with the federal government and can be found on any notice sent to you by the IRS
    • If you used your SSN to register instead of your FEIN, please include it 
  • Withholding Tax ID 
Next steps

We'll reply to your request once we've initiated access, asking you to complete the process.

  • Log into the Maine Tax Portal then follow the below steps:
    1. Select Manage My Profile, then More...
    2. Locate the "Access Management" section
    3. Select Pending Third Party Requests
    4. Grant Access to OnPay Tax Disbursement, LLC - Stephanie Mendez
    5. Once approved, reply to our message so we can catch your account up, if needed

Reminder

Forms you may need to complete upon request

You may be asked to take these steps in order for OnPay to communicate with tax offices.

Power of Attorney for the Maine Department of Revenue

  1. Download the Maine DOR Power of Attorney form
  2. Complete the following information in Part 1:
    • Section 1: Taxpayer information
    • Section 5: Taxpayer signature
  3. Submit a request and attach a copy of your form
