Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of protection to your OnPay login. When you log in using MFA, in addition to entering your OnPay password, you'll enter a one-time-use 6-digit code that is generated by a secure authentication app, like Duo, Authy, or Google Authenticator.
Trouble logging in?
If you have Multi-Factor Authentication enabled for your account, but you don't have access to your authenticator, or are otherwise unable to access your account, call us at (877) 328-6505, between 9AM-8PM EST, Monday through Friday, for help.
As a reminder, never share your login credentials or MFA code with anyone. OnPay will never ask you for this information.
Setting up MFA
If you haven't set up MFA yet, you'll be prompted to do so when you log into OnPay Mobile. You can set MFA up to use an authenticator app (recommended), or we can generate one for you and send it to you by text message (less secure).
Authenticator app
If you haven't already done so, we recommend you start by downloading and setting up an authenticator app before following these steps.
Copy your code
When you tap Authenticator App, you'll see a code you need to enter into your authenticator app. Tap the clipboard icon to the right to copy this code.
IMPORTANT
The code you see on this screen is used to connect your OnPay login to your authenticator app. Do not enter this code in the space below thie code.
Paste your code into your authenticator app
In your authenticator app, add a new account, paste your copied code into the space provided, and tap Add.
You'll see your OnPay account listed in the authenticator app, along with your first MFA code. Tap this code to copy it, then return to OnPay Mobile and paste it into the field, and tap Submit.
Send Text Message
Tap Send Text Message, enter your mobile phone number, and tap Submit.
We'll text you a one-time-use code to enter into the field provided. If using an iPhone, you can instantly add the cide using the "From Messages" button on the keyboard.
Disabling MFA
If you change your mind about this added security, or just need to change the authenticator app or phone number associated with your login, you can disable MFA.
To do this, log into OnPay using a computer, and click Profile.
In the MFA section, click Disable 2FA.
Once disabled, you can set MFA up using your preferred method.
